A Total Knee Replacement is a surgical procedure where an artificial knee joint (implant) is used to replace a diseased knee. During the total knee surgery, the ends of the thighbone are replaced with a metal shell and the end of the leg bone is covered with a plastic piece fitted over a metal stem. Depending on any damage to the kneecap, it may be resurfaced with a plastic piece in order to optimise comfort and function. At Joint Robo, we use state-of-the-art implants to ensure excellent clinical outcomes and improved quality of life.
